Urban Wildfire Exposure Modeling in the Municipality of Anchorage Alaska

This paper, presented at the 2005 ESRI User's Conference, details our project to design and implement a wildfire exposure model for the wildland urban interface in Anchorage Alaska. GRS was contracted by the Municipality of Anchorage Fire and GIS departments to design a GIS-based spatial model for determining wildfire risk and mitigation options.
