GRS has developed a number of data cleaning, import/export, update, and processing tools based on MicroStation v7.  segjoin is particularly useful to "join" segments into line strings, curves, or complex string; reorder vertices, thin/weed vertices, label lines, remove short segments or points, change symbology, strip attribute linkages, load linear attributes into database tables, and much more.  pt_mend is useful for mending non-coincident endpoints, identifying/removing duplicate elements, and/or flagging suspect non-coincident element endpoints.

Each GRS utility was originally developed for inhouse contract work and eventually sold to clients and others so they could obtain these capabilities themselves.
